Fronting on Miami Beach and the Atlantic Ocean, the Fontainebleau Hilton has always been known for its exceptional water-related activities. The hotel fronts directly on the Atlantic Ocean, offering families easy access to the beach. In addition, the hotel features a beautiful half-acre lagoon-style rock grotto swimming pool complete with cascading waterfalls and lush tropical greenery.
The Fontainebleau Hilton added Cookie's World™, with its giant Octopus-themed pool, to its waterpark and resort playland. The towering 21-foot tall, 7,000 square foot, eight-legged "Octopus" is the focal point for the shallow activity pool and the nearby lazy river raft ride. A variety of sprays, rain curtains and waterfalls invite children and parents to get wet and enjoy their time in the sun. Four small themed fountains shower the youngest children at the pool's edge.
For those seeking thrills, a 24-foot-tall waterslide runs through one of the octopus' tenacles and deposits its riders into a pool next to the lazy river. The 261-foot long slide is sure to please kids and adults alike. The hotel has also added a new children's/family recreation center to the new waterpark complex, which features an ocean theme.
The Fontainebleau Hilton also offers its younger guests a Resort Activities Program (Cookie's World - an interactive children's water playland) for kids ages 5-12. The kids program includes such activities as arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, pool games, beach olympics, and ice cream parlor, souvenir and kids' apparel shop and more. The teens (for ages 13-17) program, which is offered on a periodic basis, allows teens to participate in sports tournaments, play their favorite music, and meet other teens.
