Northwest Airlines Launches Hot Summer -- Cool Fall Fare Sale; Companion Fares As Low as $69

MINNEAPOLIS, July 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Northwest Airlines (Nasdaq: NWAC)today gave travelers cool deals on hot fares for late summer and early fall travel with a fare sale for individuals and companions traveling to most destinations in the 48 United States, Canada, San Juan, Asia and Europe.

Tickets for all destinations must be purchased by July 27, 2001. "We have some fantastic fares for travel at one of the best times of the year," said Tom Bach, Northwest Airlines vice president domestic revenue management. "Whether it's a late summer getaway or an early fall breather before winter arrives, these fares will make you want to pack your bags."

North America Travel

Advance purchase requirements are 14 days for North America travel and tickets must be purchased within 24 hours of making a reservation. The travel period is from July 26 through December 16, 2001 with all travel completed on December 16, 2001. Best fares are offered for travel noon Monday through noon Thursday. A Saturday night stay is required and a 30-day maximum stay applies.

The travel must originate from September 8, through October 31, 2001 with all travel completed by November 30, 2001. Best fares are offered on travel Monday through Thursday. A Saturday night stay is required and a 30-day maximum stay applies.
