Kids Travel for 50% Off on Amtrak
Amtrak's normal children's discount offers great savings for families. Kids, ages 2-15, ride the train half-price when accompanied by an adult. This rate is valid on any day of the year through 12/31/04. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and each adult may bring two children along with this half-price discount. One child under the age of two rides free with each adult ticket purchased.
These discounts are not valid on the weekday Acela Express and Metroliner service. For Auto Train service, children receive a 50% discount off rail fare only but not the vehicle accommodation charge. This discount not valid in conjunction with some promotional offers, and additional restrictions may apply.
To take advantage of this discount, contact your favorite travel agent, call 800-872-7245 or visit the Amtrak website Amtrak Children Savings. Select the appropriate Passenger Fare Type when prompted by the reservations system.
