Beaches Resorts Offer Single Parent Specials During Single Parent Friendly (SPF) Months

"Do I have to pay more for being a single parent while I'm on vacation?" is a question many single parents are asking about single supplement fees. According to the 2000 census, there were 17.3 million single parent households in the U.S. and the last worry they need is to pay an extra fee while planning a hard-earned vacation with their kids.

Beaches, a leading all-inclusive family-friendly resort chain, is opening their arms for the second year in a row to the growing number of single parents deserving a much-needed break. Beaches Resorts are waiving their single supplement fee during various times throughout the year and providing a variety of on-property attractions for single parent families.

The Single Parent Friendly Months (SPF Months), which kicked off Feb. 1, 2003, will provide single parents with single supplement fee-free months from Aug.15-Oct.31, 2004. This deal is available at Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort & Spa, Beaches Negril, Beaches Sandy Bay and Beaches Boscobel Resort & Golf Club. For an even more affordable vacation, single parents can combine these savings with current promotions like the "Beaches is for Everyone" promotion, offering a value of up to 35 percent off rack rates at select resorts.

During SPF months, Beaches Resorts will also provide activities for single parents, making them feel even more at home and comfortable around other single parents and their children. The Resorts will host Tuesday Night "Single Parents Welcome Receptions," hosted by the General Manager, "Single Parent Social Cocktail Receptions" and "Kids Movie Nights," where children and their parents can meet and interact.

A variety of interactive games, contests and tournaments will also be implemented at the resorts, giving parents a chance to spend quality time with their kids, creating even more lasting memories and a travel experience all families should have.

These activities are in addition to the current ultra inclusive features like The GameWaves Interactive Zone, a state of the art video game center featuring today's hottest titles and game consoles, supervised KIDS KAMP program, infant care, land and water sports activities, like scuba diving with professional instruction, golf and tennis lessons and special teen activities. Parents and children have everything at their fingertips to allow them to spend time together or apart enjoying their own adventures.
