Everyone can enjoy a summer full of unique vacation activities and programs - some new and some favorites back by popular demand:
Tuesday Night - Glow-in-the-Dark Volleyball on the beach. Families can get decked out in neon paint to volley, set and spike the night away.
Wednesday & Saturday Nights - Due to its popularity, RedBeard the Pirate Show is back this summer, performed in front of a real-life, rustic black and white ship on the TradeWinds very own "Pirate Island". Lit by magnificent Gulf sunsets, the likeable RedBeard spins tall tales and conducts a sing along of memorable tunes for children and adults alike. RedBeard's "first mates" prepare the crew prior to the show by adorning them with face-paint, eye patches and tattoos.
Thursday Night - This summer, Elvis joins the TradeWinds lineup with his new show, "Aloha from the TradeWinds - Memories of Elvis." The resort's own Elvis impersonator dons his "Blue Suede Shoes" for a high-energy performance the entire family will love.
Friday Night - Adding to a magical summer vacation, the TradeWinds has introduced the Magic, Comedy and Karaoke Show on Friday nights. The comedy improv team will have guests laughing while the magician will keep them guessing. Guests then have the opportunity to take the stage and show their stuff at the Pirate Island Dance & Karaoke Party.
When it's time to hit the beach, the three-story High Tide Slide will be waiting. The slide, open through Labor Day, provides hours of fun for children and adults. Located along a strip of sugary white sand behind the Island Grand, the tall, rainbow-colored inflatable slide drops riders into a pool of refreshing water. Guests can take one ride for a small fee or pay a bit more to ride all day. For more fun in the sun, try the new 9-hole miniature golf course. When the sun goes down, the course lights up, complete with glowing putter, ball and holes. In addition, colorful hairbraiders, caricature and henna tattoo artists, poolside massages and hand-crafted jewelry will be available throughout the resort all summer long.
