NEW FAMILYMOON PACKAGE AT SHERATON KEAUHOU BAY RESORT & SPA FOR MULTIGENERATIONAL FAMILY TRAVEL
The Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa, scheduled to open on the Big Island's south coast this fall, has introduced a creative new package offering great value for family members traveling together, from grandparents to children.
The hotel's Familymoon Package offers 50% discounts on second and third rooms and activity options for family members of all ages. The Familymoon Package includes: guaranteed connecting or adjacent rooms; daily buffet breakfast for up to four people; children age 12 and under eat free from the special children's menu when accompanied by a paying adult; supervised childcare for up to two hours daily at the children's activity center (age limitations may apply); every second child free in the daily Kamp Keauhou children's program (ages 5 to 12); one evening complimentary babysitting service for up to four children, including a complimentary in-room movie; and a choice of two activities for adult family members (two activities total, not per person or per room) selected from the following options: one-tank certified SCUBA dive; snorkel cruise; ocean kayaking; horseback riding; Volcanoes National Park tour; gourmet sunset sail; Kona Coffee plantation tour; surfing lesson; deep sea sport fishing; tropical rainforest/waterfall hike; Sheraton Keauhou luau; round of golf; day-use pass for Spa Keauhou; or a 50-minute massage.
Reservations are now being accepted for the "Familymoon" package, which is available for travel from October 1, 2004 through December 25, 2005. The package requires a four-night minimum stay. Package prices are per night, per room, based on double occupancy: Garden View $500 for the first room ($250 for a second and third room); Ocean Coast View $540 first room ($270 second/third room); Ocean View $600 first room ($300 second/third room); and Deluxe Ocean View $680 first room ($340 second/third room). The Familymoon Package prices are subject to applicable taxes and a daily resort charge, and the package cannot be combined with any other packages, discounts or promotions. The 530-room Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa is located within the 1,850-acre Keauhou resort area, just east of Kailua-Kona on the island of Hawaii. Situated on an ancient lava flow on the southern shore of Keauhou Bay, the hotel rests on 22 spectacular oceanfront acres. The property is currently undergoing a comprehensive $45 million renovation and will reopen this fall with a full-service spa and fitness center, tennis courts, jogging paths, two restaurants, a business center, complete catering and convention services, a wedding chapel, and an incredible multilevel "fantasy pool" that will meander through the hotel grounds, ending in a sand-bottom pool surrounded by a sunning beach.
The hotel will offer a variety of family-oriented activities, including bike paths, a game and entertainment room, children's play center, children's pool area, three tennis courts--one of which can be converted into a basketball court, and an on-property luau. In the new fantasy pool, swimmers will experience waterfalls, hidden grottoes, bridges, bubbling jacuzzis, interactive children's fountains, and a fantastic 200-foot lava tube waterslide--one of the longest waterslides in the state.
The hotel will offer an extensive hands-on program for guests of all ages to learn about the rich culture, history and arts of Hawaii and the Keauhou area. Moolelo (storytelling) will be featured in the gardens at the center of the property, and guests can enjoy special hiking and bicycling tours conducted by local experts. In addition to the cultural activities available to guests, the hotel's location at the water's edge on tranquil Keauhou Bay offers the ideal spot for viewing one of nature's own unique exhibitions--each evening, manta rays glide along the shoreline to feed in front of the hotel, delighting guests with their graceful maneuvers.
