Wentworth By the Sea Hotel & Spa Welcomes Families with Great Island Family Escape Package
Wentworth By the Sea Hotel & Spa is the only remaining grand seaside resort in New Hampshire. Celebrating its 130th anniversary this year, while still basking in the glow of its restoration and reopening last summer, the hotel brings families back for the same sparkling water, ocean breezes and welcoming hospitality that generations have enjoyed.
This year, families will find something still newer: the Little Harbor Marina Suites overlooking the water. These 18 one- or two-bedroom bi-level suites incorporate a full kitchen, living room, waterfront balcony and their own private swimming pool, as well as full access to all of the hotel's services and amenities. Rates for a 1-bedroom Little Harbor Marina Suite start at $429.*
The Great Island Family Escape package, starting at $269* on weekdays from June 1 through July 10, and $359* from July 11 through October 24, includes deluxe accommodations (choice of one king or two double beds) breakfast buffet for two and dinner for two. Kids under 12 stay free with accompanying adults and enjoy a specially-designed Children's Menu.
In addition to the hotel's own outdoor pool, indoor pool, Spa, fitness center, Wentworth Dining Room and Latitudes, a more casual restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner overlooking the Marina, the hotel offers trolley transportation to the nearby Great Island Common ocean beach and park, as well as other family-friendly sites in Portsmouth.
Wentworth By the Sea, a member of Historic Hotels of America, reopened last June after a $27 million restoration that added an 8,500 sq. ft. Spa wing with indoor pool and jacuzzi, fireplaces in 18 of the guest suites, and the waterfront hideaway Little Harbor Marina Suites. Awarded the American Institute of Architects' 'Award of Excellence,' AAA's Four Diamond award, and National Trust for Historic Preservation recognition as a member of Historic Hotels of America, the 161-room hotel has incorporated the three distinctive original Victorian towers and as many architectural details as could be salvaged.
