Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Offer Families Special Packages and Discounts This Summer
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is offering the best of their destinations with family getaways that feature local activities and luxurious accommodations all packaged up together. Whether a perfect vacation with the gang involves a bug hunt, outdoor sports or just some time together by the pool, Fairmont has a family travel package to fit the group's agenda. And if the family doesn't want to book a package and would rather explore on their own, Fairmont and MasterCard® are making accommodations more affordable by offering 50% off a second room so kids can have their own place to stay.
** The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is going "overboard" with summer savings and offering an all-inclusive Fairmont Summer Cruise package. Perfect for families, the getaway features access to the resorts' Kids Club and new Hang Out Teen Room which was designed solely for guests age 13 - 17 and features an Internet Cafe, DVD Movie Lounge, X-Box Room and Music Listening Room. On-property activities such as wine tastings, star gazing, lawn games, desert garden tours and cooking classes; shuttle service to local family attractions; Buckaroo BBQ every Friday night and "Dive-In" movies every Saturday are also included in the package; as well as accommodation; ALL meals at choice of four restaurants and poolside cafe (food only, as well as tea, coffee and juice. Marquesa and The Grill restaurants receive $47 per person credit); overnight self-parking; in-room Internet access, movies and Nintendo games; access to tennis facilities and Fairmont Fitness Center; and local and 1-800 telephone calls. The package is available through September 8, 2004 and rates are $189 per person (Kids under 12 are free) based on double occupancy (maximum four persons per room).
** Characters from Academy Award®-winning animated film Finding Nemo (the #1 animated film of all time) are swimming on the walls of a one-of-a-kind suite at The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa, and through the end of the summer families can enjoy a stay in this specialty accommodation at 50% off. Designed as a Make a Wish Foundation fundraiser, as part of a three-year agreement between Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Make a Wish Foundation, the new Finding Nemo suite features vibrant paintings along with Pixar stuffed characters, books, and DVDs. Through August 31, 2004, the suite will be offered at a special rate of $375 per night, based on availability - a 50% savings off the usual $750 per night rate. Additionally, in order to accommodate as many guests as possible, the customary two-night minimum will not be required. As an added bonus, The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa will contribute 100% of the proceeds from rental of the suite during this special promotion to Make a Wish Foundation.
** With Fairmont Kenauka's A Bug's Life program children discover butterflies, bees, caterpillars, and more in a class given outside by a resort guide. Afterwards it's a "bug hunt" to locate the creepy crawlers they just learned about. A Bug's Life program can be added to any of the resorts summer packages including the Family Adventure package. This getaway features three night's in a fully-equipped cabin on a private lake with rowboat and canoe, guided tour of the property's onsite fish hatchery, guided nature walk and access to the sports facilities at Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello. The three-night package is priced from $636 based on two adults and two children. Additional person in the cabin is $25 per night.
** At The Fairmont San Francisco, youngsters can play "Doorman for A Day". While sporting an official doorman cap, children may use their doorman whistle to hail a taxi while parents capture this special moment with their Fairmont camera. The whistle and camera are given to the family as mementos of their visit. Through December 30, 2004, families can take advantage of Fairmont's Family Fun package which features three nights of accommodations for $189 per night - with a $100 credit to use toward activities at the hotel.

** The Fairmont Tremblant's Family Fun package offers the best of the resort with two night's accommodation, daily breakfast buffet, dinner each night at the Windigo Restaurant, unlimited access to the Gondola Ride and four of the following activities: a luge ride, access to the Tremblant beach, bike rental, 1.5 hours of rollerblading or scooter rental, mini-putt game, access to the Aquaclub La Source, or a cocktail at dawn, at the summit of the mountain. Rates start at $743 per two-night package for two adults and two children 12 and under.
** From hiking to bowling, picnics to movie nights, mountains of adventure await families staying at Canada's Castle in the Rockies. The Fairmont Banff Springs weekend Family Castle Adventure package offers a fun family escape with accommodation, a pizza & movie night, bowling, hotel tour, welcome gift and Gondola sightseeing adventure. The package starts at $302 per night for a family of five with a minimum stay of two nights. Families can also choose to take advantage of all the resort's recreational options including biking, hiking, swimming, boating, horseback riding, golfing and much more.
** Imitate the otters, smooch with a sea lion or buddy-up with a beluga at The Vancouver Aquarium, and that's just the beginning of the adventure at The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. The Otter Adventure package also includes one-night accommodation, a bowl of Smarties, one video game or "On-Command" movie and a family pass to the Aquarium or CN Imax. Rates per room are from $156 low season; $199 in high season.
** With over 36 activities and 65,000 acres to explore, the Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello has everything for a fantastic family vacation.
