Florida's TradeWinds Island Resorts Offer Labor Day Special for Families
The TradeWinds Island Resorts are two beachfront resorts within steps of each other on the island of St. Pete Beach, just 30 minutes from Tampa. Operating as a interconnected resort family, TradeWinds offers beachfront recreation, a wide choice of dining options, and an excellent children's program.
This Labor Day, the TradeWinds Island Resorts on St. Pete Beach are throwing back to the carefree days of the poodle skirt, the drive-in and the diner with the "Beach Blanket Bingo" package. The TradeWinds is truly going "under the boardwalk" for a 50's style Labor Day that includes food and fun for the whole family.
The "Beach Blanket Bingo" package offered from Sept.3-7, 2004 starts as low as $399* and includes three-nights accommodations, the Beach Blanket Bingo Party, the sumptuous Happy Days Buffet for two on Sunday, Sept. 5, a 9 p.m. check-out on Monday and the TradeWinds Explorer Value Pass. The Explorer Value Pass provides guests with complimentary use of beach cabanas, fitness centers, tennis courts, paddleboats and portions of the children's club.
The Happy Days Buffet on September 5 takes place at the Island Grand and includes Fonzie's burger bar, Laverne's veggie burgers, Mr. C's creamy coleslaw, Ralph's Buffalo chicken wings, Richie's chili, Potsie's potato salad and Chachi's corn on the cob. Guests who clean their plate will be treated to Mrs. Cunningham's strawberry cheesecake, Richie's Favorite Rice Krispie Treats and homemade cupcakes with a sprinkle station.
Happy days are here again during the fun-filled September 5 Beach Blanket Bingo Party which includes a hula-hoop contest, Bingo games, face painting and volleyball. Guests will "Rock Around the Clock" while listening to the tunes of a DJ spinning 50's and 60's hits or participating in a "Twist" dance competition.
This summer, the TradeWinds has introduced the Magic, Comedy and Karaoke Show on Friday nights. The comedy improv team will have guests laughing while the magician will keep them guessing. Also making an appearance on Saturday evenings this summer is RedBeard the Pirate - spinning tall tales and conducting a sing along of memorable tunes for children and adults alike.
When it's time to hit the beach, the three-story High Tide Slide will be waiting. The slide, open through Labor Day, provides hours of fun for children and adults. For more fun in the sun, guests can take a swing on the new 9-hole miniature golf course. When the sun goes down, the course lights up, complete with glowing putter, ball and holes. In addition, colorful hairbraiders, caricature and henna tattoo artists, poolside massages and hand-crafted jewelry will be available throughout the resort all summer long.
The "Beach Blanket Bingo" package is available Sept. 3-7, 2004. For reservations and information, call toll-free (866) JUST LET GO (587-8538), visit www.JustLetGo.com or contact a travel professional.
