ARLINGTON, Va., Jan. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- US Airways has introduced new end-of-winter sale fares for getaway domestic, European and Caribbean travel. The sale, which is valid for travel across the US Airways system, offers customersroundtrip ticket prices as low as $68 in some markets.
Under this sale, tickets for all destinations must be purchased by Jan. 31, 2003. For flights in the U.S., Canada and Europe, sale fares are available when completing travel by March 31, 2003. Travel for the Caribbean must be completed by Feb. 28, 2003. These sale fares are available on

Fares are based on roundtrip Coach-class travel. Depending upon travel needs, alternative routings may be available at the same fares, with part of the service on regional aircraft operated by US Airways Express carriers Allegheny, Air Midwest, Chautauqua, Colgan, Mesa, Midway, Piedmont, PSA,
Shuttle America or Trans States.
Tickets must be purchased at least seven days before departure (14 days in select U.S. and Canada markets) and three days prior for Caribbean and Europe destinations. One Saturday-night stay is required (three-night stay required for the Caribbean).
The lowest fares for travel in the U.S. and to Canada are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Sale fares are available to Florida Mondays through Thursdays and from Florida, Tuesdays through Fridays. For European travel, the lowest fares are available when traveling Monday through
Thursday; the lowest Caribbean fares are available Monday through Friday.
Tickets must be purchased within 24 hours of making reservations. Tickets become nonrefundable 24 hours after making the initial reservation, and under certain conditions may be changed prior to the departure of each flight segment for a minimum $100 fee ($200 for Europe). If changes are not made
prior to midnight of the departure date of each flight, the entire remaining ticket will have no further value.
Fares do not include a federal excise tax of $3, which will be imposed on each flight segment of the itinerary. A flight segment is defined as a takeoff and a landing. Fares do not include up to $18 in airport passenger facility charges (PFCs) where applicable, and the September 11th Security Fee
of up to $10 per itinerary. Fares to Canada do not include a federal immigration fee of $7 per roundtrip, airport fees of $6.50 per roundtrip and Canada Air Traveler Security charge of $8 per roundtrip. Fares for the Caribbean and Europe do not include government-imposed taxes/fees/surcharges of up to $89. Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights or
