Seven Springs' First Annual Melt Down Party Includes Pond Skimming
HAMPION, Pa., March 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Seven Springs Mountain Resort announces its First Annual Melt Down Party featuring pond skimming as the main event of the day.
After a long winter season, as Mother Nature was quite generous, the resort approaches the end of the season with a day of activities centered around the renowned Foggy Goggle Lounge. On April 5th the Foggy Goggle, one of America's top apres ski lounges according to SKI magazine readers, will
hold its Melt Down Party featuring D.J. Kelli Burns and D.J. Donn Henderson.
The ever-daring Pond Skimming will begin at High Noon and continue through 4 p.m. "Participants may choose to use their skis, snowboards, snowblades or use a tube and try to skim across the surface of man-made Lake Goggle without taking the dreaded plunge," states Dick Barron, director of ski operations at Seven Springs. "However, if the run ends prematurely it is sure to provide a great spectator event for many, as well as an exhilarating run for participants."
Registration is $20 for skimming and a long-sleeve tee shirt. You must be over the age of 18 to skim Lake Goggle. The event benefits the Seven Springs Ski Patrol.
Additionally, there will be a raffle held by the Western Pennsylvania Ski Council starting at 4 p.m. The raffle will include great prizes such as skis, snowboards, and much more. The raffle will benefit the Western Pennsylvania Ski Council and Seven Springs Ski Patrol.
