Crystal Cruises Introduces Once-In-A-Lifetime Fares For Newly Unveiled May Voyages From Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, April 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Crystal Cruises is offering unprecedented savings on a series of new six- to nine-day roundtrip itineraries in May from Los Angeles aboard the Six-Star Crystal Harmony, featuring prices as low as $795 per person including port charges. The savings opportunities -- the most attractive in the luxury line's history -- and new itineraries come in the aftermath of Crystal's close-in cancellation of its Asia program due to the high rate of cancellations resulting from the fear of SARS in China.
"Given that these cruises are beginning within a month, we felt it necessary to launch them with the most extraordinary pricing," says Adam Leavitt, Crystal's senior vice president, marketing. "Now is the time for those travelers looking to sample the Crystal experience to get on board -- and for seasoned Crystal guests to just say yes to a last-minute getaway beginning at just $110 a day."
A nine-day sailing departing Los Angeles on May 1 will call at San Diego, Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan. Fares begin at $995 for non-verandah accommodations, $1,295 for verandah staterooms and begin at $2,095 for penthouse. The same itinerary, departing from San Diego, runs
seven days and is available from $895, $1,195, and beginning at $1,995, respectively.

Fares are $895 for non-verandah accommodations, $1,195 for veranda staterooms and begin at $1,995 for penthouse. On May 17, the Crystal Harmony will embark on a six-day repositioning cruise to Vancouver for the launch of her Alaska season. Port calls include San Francisco, Seattle, Victoria and Vancouver. Fares start at $795 for non-verandah accommodations, $1,095 for verandah staterooms and begin at $1,895 for penthouse.
The line's Alaska season kicks off May 23 with a 10-day itinerary departing from Vancouver and ending in San Francisco. The 10-day cruise will be followed by nine 12-day departures: June 2, 14, 26; July 8, 20; August 1, 13, 25; and September 6. The itinerary will call at the Alaskan ports of
Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, and Vancouver and Victoria and British Columbia. Other highlights include cruising Glacier Bay, Hubbard Glacier or Tracy Arm, depending on itinerary selected.
