Fill 'Er up with Hotels.com -- Travelers Get Gasoline Rebate When Booking Accommodations
Hotels.com, the largest specialized provider of discount lodging worldwide, announced today it is offering travelers a free tank of gas, up to $20, when booking their hotel rooms online via its Web site www.hotels.com. Travelers booking accommodations for two or more nights now through September 30, 2003, for stays anytime through December 31, 2003 will be eligible for the rebate. This offer comes just as gasoline prices across the country are once again surging.
"We are seeing more people choosing to travel closer to home and the popularity of drive-to destinations is on the rise. The gasoline rebate fits into the Hotels.com philosophy of providing consumers with the most value for their travel dollars, whether it be by offering the lowest guaranteed hotel rates or by helping reduce overall travel expenditures," stated Bob Diener, president and co-founder of Hotels.com. "We have offered this promotion to our customers in the past and it has been greatly received."
Travelers can find information and rules about the promotion by clicking the "deals & specials" tab on the www.hotels.com homepage, and then clicking on the free tank link in the "Browse Deals" section. Travelers qualify for the rebate by booking accommodations for two or more nights at any of the more than 8,000 properties in more than 360 cities worldwide serviced by Hotels.com. Upon completion of their trip, travelers simply need to mail in a copy of their gasoline receipt along with the rebate certificate they find online; Hotels.com will then credit their charge card for up to $20 of their gasoline expense.
