Travel Weekly magazine recently announced the winners of its prestigious Readers Choice Award for 2003. Celebrating its inaugural year, this honor is bestowed upon the world's finest resorts, hotels, cruise ships, rental car companies, airlines, theme parks and destinations. The Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa was named top hotel in the luxury category.
All winners of this award were nominated and selected by the readers of Travel Weekly, who based their votes on the overall professionalism and quality they've experience. This year, the readers honored winners in 27 categories, with 5 finalists selected in each covering both domestic and international nominees. These experienced travel agents selected the winners based on strict industry criteria including: quality of the facilities; quality of services; staff proficiency and quantity and quality of amenities offered.
