302-room Hotel is the Second Renaissance Hotel to Open In Tianjin
TIANJIN, CHINA - 28 June 2004 - Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE: MAR) announced today the opening of the Renaissance Tianjin TEDA Hotel. It is the seventh Renaissance branded hotel in China and the second Renaissance hotel in Tianjin.
The 302-room Renaissance Tianjin TEDA operates under a management agreement with Tianjin Binhai TEDA Hotel Development Co., Ltd. The general manager is Hartmut Schaller; the director of marketing is Addison Wong.
The hotel is offering a special opening rate of $115USD plus 15% surcharge for a deluxe room. This offer is valid through the end of September.
Tianjin is 90 minutes southeast of Beijing. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of China's economic development zone, TEDA, Tianjin Economic Development Area. More than ten highways and expressways link TEDA to major cities and industrial centers in the northeast, midwest and south.
For dining, the Renaissance Tianjin TEDA will have a casual restaurant as well as a lobby bar and lounge. For an authentic Cantonese - Chinese meal, guests can dine on-site at the Wan Li Restaurant. The hotel also offers business travelers an executive level and lounge, as well as a full business center.
The hotel also offers 24 hour room service. Recreational amenities include an indoor swimming pool as well as state of the art fitness center. Child care services are also available on-site.
In-room amenities include a large work desk, dual-telephones including speaker and voicemail, cable/satellite television, complimentary in-room coffee, ironing board and in-room safe.
