Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa Specializes in Family-Friendly Vacations

When it comes to creating family-friendly vacations, the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa has the perfect setting and an array of choices sure to please the entire family.

The natural beauty of Florida's Gulf Coast combines with the tropical ambiance of this new luxury property, making this destination a perfect getaway for families who want to take advantage of the area's natural beauty as well as the amenities of a world class resort.

Situated on 26 acres along Estero Bay and the Gulf of Mexico between Naples and Fort Myers, the property features 450 elegantly appointed guest rooms and suites, an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Senior PGA Tour Champion Raymond Floyd, a full-service Asian-style spa with fitness center and salon, six restaurants and lounges, three pools, access to a secluded, exclusive beach, tennis courts and Camp Coconut. Access and transportation is provided to the adjacent Hyatt Coconut Plantation Vacation Club. The two properties boast seven pools including the 5,000-square-foot lagoon pool with a 140-foot corkscrew waterslide as well as the scenic, 1,000-foot Alligator Alley lazy river pool. The resort amenities and facilities including the restaurants are kid-friendly.

Families have a chance to enjoy the tropical surroundings and to experience nature at its best with guided eco-tours, kayaking and canoeing, fishing, dolphin watching, observing gopher tortoises in their natural habitat, catching a glimpse of the rare manatee and bird watching. Learn about the Calusa Indians who inhabited this lush area for centuries with a guided kayaking tour. Resort guests also have access to exclusive Big Hickory Island with a private beach furnished with umbrellas and lounge chairs. Off-property tours are available to Babcock Wilderness Ranch and the Everglades.

Hyatt's popular program designed for guests three to 12, Camp Coconut is filled with activities that take advantage of this tropical paradise. Parents may receive 50 percent off the price of a second room when enrolling their kids in this program (subject to availability).

Supervised activities with Hyatt camp counselors include options such as Gasparilla's Treasure Hunt, Jungle Jim Jam, aquatic adventures, nature bingo, dolphin watching, water balloon toss, scavenger hunt, boat ride to Big Hickory Island, shark tooth hunting, kite-flying, sand castle contest, coconut pirates, nature tag, sand art and shelling. Participants also enjoy movies and popcorn, making a Calusa Indian shell necklace and chef creations. The kids will find that their parents will also want to hang out in the hotel's game room that is filled with arcade games.

While kids are at Camp Coconut, parents can enjoy time on their own with an energetic paddle through the mangroves or just relaxing under an umbrella on a secluded beach. Feel pampered with treatments at the Asian-inspired Stillwater Spa. Play a round of golf on a championship course. Work out in the fitness center. Take a sunset cruise.

The resort's concierge is available to assist guests in planning an itinerary. Tour companies are on-site to book full- or half-day trips for boating, fishing, shelling or just plain exploring. World-famous beaches, state parks, the Everglades, shopping and an assortment of water activities are all located in this beautiful part of Southwest Florida.
