Moody Gardens Festures One of Gulf Coast's Largest Holiday Light Events
Thrid Annual Festival of Lights, November 20 - Janaury 2
Festive sights and sounds fill Moody Gardens® at the third annual Festival of Lights November 20 through January 2, 2005. Bigger and brighter, this entertainment-filled celebration kicks off the holiday season each year with Santa Claus parachuting in to switch on the lights. Drawing in more than 60,000 people each year, Moody Gardens® Festival of Lights has become a holiday favorite for families.
Transforming its lush garden setting into a winter menagerie of lights, Moody Gardens® will be adorned with more than a million twinkling lights. In addition to experiencing the lights, guests can also strap on a pair of skates and slide across the ice at the Outdoor Ice Rink at Moody Gardens® or listen to holiday music performed by local choirs and bands.
Festival of Lights will be open Thursday - Sunday, November 20 - December 12 and daily December 16 - January 2, including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is $4.95 per person with free admission for children three and under. Guests can also add a Rainforest Pyramid®, an IMAX 3D® movie, Ridefilm or Ice Rink ticket for just $4.00 more. Guests who wish to make a day of it can purchase a Day Pass to all Moody Gardens® attractions for just $31.00 per person.
The Garden Restaurant will feature a Holiday buffet, offered from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Several special holiday packages are also available for groups of 30 or more that can include luxury bus transportation, event admission and the holiday buffet for $15.00 or $25.00 per person.
Festival of Lights Hotel Packages are also available November 22 through January 3. Weekend packages, Friday and Saturday range from $155.00 to $199.00 and weekday packages Sunday through Thursday range from $129.00 to $169.00. Packages include a room, breakfast, and tickets to Festival of Lights. Children's packages can be added on to include a Festival of Lights ticket, holiday plushy and a turndown stocking.
