Families Can Experience Mauna Lani's Summer Discoveries and Save Over $900

Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows is offering a Summer Discovery Special of $370 per night for Ocean View accommodations (published rate, $670), and $400 per night for Deluxe Ocean View accommodations (published rate, $715) from May 1 to September 30, 2006. These special rates are per room per night based on single/double occupancy and space availability. All rates are subject to Hawaii State Taxes. A minimum three-night stay is required. This offer cannot be combined or used with additional special rates and/or promotions and is subject to change without notice.

Families are invited to participate in the following Mauna Lani's Summer Discoveries on a complimentary basis:

Twilight at Kalahuipua'a, June 10, July 8, August 12 and September 9: To celebrate the monthly full moon, Mauna Lani's cultural historian Danny Kaniela Akaka, one of Hawaii's living legends, is joined by local musicians and storytellers to "talk story" at the historic Eva Parker Woods Cottage.

Turtle Independence Day, July 4: Mauna Lani Resort celebrates the release of juvenile honu (turtles) each year with live entertainment, games and canoe rides for keiki (children), educational displays, and food booths.

Fish Feeding Tour: Join the Loko I'a (Fishpond) Manager as he leads participants through the resort's fishponds, feeding the colorful koi, baby honu and sharks while providing information about Hawaiian reef fish and Mauna Lani's salt-water ponds. Schedules are available through the resort concierge.

Historic Tours: Danny Kaniela Akaka leads participants in exploring the ancient fishponds and petroglyphs around the resort. Schedules are available through the resort concierge.

Eva Parker Woods Cottage Museum: Dedicated to the people of Hawaii, the Eva Parker Woods Cottage features historical displays of an ancient Hawaiian canoe, fishing gear, household items, spears, shark tooth objects and gourds.

Hawaiian Lessons: Ukulele and hula lessons and Hawaiian weaving are available for all guests. Schedules are available through the resort concierge.
