Disney Searches For 2009 Walt Disney World Moms Panel Members
Disney Parks has started its search for 16 park-savvy parents to be named to the 2009 Walt Disney World Moms Panel. The first 12-person online Walt Disney World Moms Panel was launched in 2008 and the group has been fielding and answering thousands of questions about Walt Disney World ever since at the www.disneyworldmoms.com site.
The search is on for 16 parents who are Walt Disney World "know-it-alls" and have a passion for sharing their Disney knowledge with others. Check out the www.disneyworldmoms.com site to get a feel for how the panel works. From September 8 through September 19, 2008, interested applicants can visit www.disneyworldmoms.com/2009 and apply to be part of the panel. The application process starts with a series of questions and includes three brief essays. These include a family essay, information on why the individual would be a great Walt Disney World vacation planner, and all the details about their favorite Disney vacationing tip.
"The first-ever Disney Moms Panel has responded to more than 9,000 questions from vacation planners this year. They have offered our guests countless tips to plan a magical vacation at our resort," said Meg Crofton, president of Walt Disney World Resort. "We thank the 2008 panel for their contributions and look forward to working with a new group of parents."
Launched in January 2008, the Walt Disney World Moms Panel is an online forum where individuals can get insider tips and insights for vacation at Walt Disney World Resort from real moms who have mastered the art of planning a Walt Disney World Vacation. The 2008 Walt Disney World Moms Panel consists of 12 real parents selected to share their vast knowledge of the resort and their personal secrets of success with other families who are considering a trip to Florida's Walt Disney World Resort.
Since the launch of the www.disneyworldmoms.com site, the current 12-person panel has responded to questions covering anything from how to sign up for a character dining experience to what items are allowed in the parks. In exchange for offering their Disney expertise online in 2009, each member of the 16-person panel will receive a 5-night, 6-day vacation at Walt Disney World Resort for four people.
