On October 26, The Olde Towne Ghost Walk, based on the famous Jack-the-Ripper Walks in London, takes spectators on a guided walking tour past the haunted houses and mysterious creaking mansions of historic Olde Towne Portsmouth, Virginia. At each stop, costumed actors or actresses re-tell the legends of ghostly visitations and things that go bump in the night. An interpreter for the hearing impaired will be provided during the 7 p.m. tour. Tours begin at the cemetery of Trinity Episcopal Church, High and Court streets. Groups leave at 5-minute intervals between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tickets are sold for three time slots: 7 p.m., 8 p.m., and 9 p.m. The walking tour lasts about 45 minutes.
