Organization: The Sierra Club has the largest service program of any of the outdoor and ecologically oriented organizations.

Project Types: Cleanup, trail maintenance, and wilderness restoration.

Location: Throughout the U.S.

Project Dates and Duration: Between March and September for 7-10 days.

Cost: From $250-$450 for registration, food, and insurance. Volunteers are responsible for all transportation.

Special Skills Required: Volunteers must be in good physical condition. Some trips require backpacking experience.

Application Process: Write to Sierra Club Outings at the above address for more information and an applications. The Sierra club begins processing applications for trips in January each year.
