Organization: Volunteers from all ages, professions, and backgrounds join together in teams on these projects to live in rural villages of in communities in emerging democracies by invitation to help raise the standard of living.
Project Type: Business consulting, contraction, painting, planting, public health, home repair and building, and teaching.
Locations: Costa Rica, China, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Ecuador, Indonesia, Jamaica, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Spain, Tanzania, Vietnam, the Mississippi Delta, and along the Rio Grande in Texas.
Project Dates and Duration: There are more than 100 1, 2, and 3 week projects year round.
Cost: form $350 to $2,150 plus airfare. All costs are tax deductible.
Special Skills Required: No special work skills are required, but a willingness to share, learn, and work alongside others is expected.
