Santo Tomas de Castilla, Guatemala: Cruise passengers visiting this area may wish to contact Gustavo (Gus) Turcios, who owns and manages the Hotel Posada El Delfin Posada El Delfin in the Livingston area. Gus tries to help local Guatemalan children by offering free computer classes and children's art classes to the kids. Gus offers tours for cruise ship passengers, and he often goes to the Livingston school and would have current knowledge of what they need. At last contact, the school desperately needed English/Spanish books, translating books (English Spanish), and school supplies such as pens, pencils, paper, crayons, colored markers, colored pencils, children’s scissors, glue sticks, erasers, backpacks, and flashcards. Sports equipment, art supplies, computer supplies and children’s clothing are also needed. Contact Gus at gustavo@turcios.com or eldelfin@turcios.com for more information.
