The Redstone Inn

The Redstone Inn
504 Bluff Street
Dubuque, Iowa 52001
Phone: (319) 582-1894

Dubuque is not only in America's corn belt, is also a bustling Mississippi River town. It has a long history as a port of call for river boat stern-wheelers. This 1894 Victorian mansion is restored to its original splendor. Children like to look through the inn's color portfolio to select their favorite guest room (no two are alike).

Nearby activities include: Paddle wheel cruises down the Mississippi are offered resembling a vision out of Mark Twain's river boat tales, downhill skiing, river boat museum, Cable Car Square speciality shops in a historic location and cable cars rides that climb up the side of a 189-foot bluff and see Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin from the top.

Gingerbread cherry pie is an inn specialty served during afternoon tea. For dinner, the Ryan House, an 1873 Italian -style villa often visited by Ulysses S. Grant, offers some of the town's best food.
