Spring Break Planning

Spring break is the perfect time to make memories with your kids, and there are so many options available from which to choose. If a beach vacation is high on your list of priorities, consider the Florida islands of Sanibel, Captiva, and North Captiva, or California's captivating La Jolla. Off-season spots like Charleston's Low Islands and Georgia's Golden Isles are reasonably priced and beautiful in March and April, although temperatures are often not quite up to bathing suit weather -- especially this year!

Family resorts are another great option for spring break fun. Some of our favorites include Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, the historic Homestead Resort in Virginia's Allegheny Mountains, and Michigan's Grand Traverse Resort and Spa.

Warm weather spring breaks are often difficult to piece together at the last minute, and some of the most popular sites fill up early. Don't let that deter you however, as the Family Travel Network's 12-point path to savings can show you how family vacations can be cheaper by the dozen. Make sure to pay particular attention to step #9 and #10, which help to find great family travel accommodations at popular destinations that appear to be sold out.

For more spring break ideas, peruse the Destinations and Interests & Activities sections of the site, and check the Hot Deals area for great family travel bargains. Let us know how you spend your spring break, and tell us about your favorite finds. We'll put some of them in future newsletters to share with others.
