Resort Overview: The Tyler Place has family in it's name for a reason. They have been family owned and operated for over 65 years. The Tyler Place Family Resort has always encouraged parents to travel and vacation with their preschoolers, toddlers, infants and newborns--even in the 1930s and 40s when no one dreamed a family vacation could include a second honeymoon. At the Tyler Place your child is guaranteed outstanding, individualized, and flexible care with abundant activities, equipment, toys, Kids bikes, training wheels, baby seats, baby and kid helmets, lifejackets, pool toys are all available for use. With four playgrounds, two heated wading pools, a petting farm, children's organic garden, tire swings, and wonderful caregivers and counselors, The Tyler Place is a perfect place to spend your next vacation.

Rates are: Adults: $67-$227 (AP, PPDO) depending on dates & accommodation. Children & Teens: $36-$87 daily, depending on ages and dates. 10% service charge--no tipping at all. Optional features available.

Accommodations: The Inn at The Tyler Place is the base of operations for this resort, but families can take their pick of accommodations including lake front cottages, lake shore family studios or suites. All accommodations feature a separate bedroom for parents with air-conditioning and king or queen bed, one to four children's bedrooms, full bath, and kitchenette. The majority also have a living room and an open deck or screened porch. Accommodations aren't fancy but they have a nice country flavor and they're geared for families, top to bottom. The modern country Inn includes glassed-in porch, fireside lounges, recreation rooms, dining rooms and dining porches. Parent's Helpers are available to live with your family also. Certain accommodations are suitable for this setup. Families can also bring their nanny from home

Meals: Meals at The Tyler Place are always fresh, and simple and are all prepared by a health-conscious kitchen staff including many Vermont specialty items and locally grown produce. The ultimate luxury is a candlelight dinner for two, or with friends, while kids dine earlier in their own age-staggered dining areas so they can take off for water-skiing or a hayride, a pool or Dinosaur party while you get to unwind. Meals are designed to please each age group and to strike the right balance between what you want, and what kids and teens want to eat. Family breakfast is available everyday. For family lunches or a family excursion, a good selection of picnic baskets are always available on an evening's notice (at no extra charge.)

Children's Programs: Tyler Place has 8 programs for child care from newborn to Teen. The newborn through 12 Month and 12-18 (Junior Toddler) programs include: Play activities geared according to age and development; Your own one-on-one Parents' Helper; And/or Activities Center with one caregiver for every two children; Developmental Toys; Musical Games; Sand & Water Play; Playground and accommodations with cribs, highchairs, separate kids' bedroom(s); Bikes with Babyseats & Helmets; Heated Indoor & Outdoor Wading Pools, Petting Farm, Fleet of Strollers and Laundry Service. The 18 to 30 month (Senior Toddlers) Program features the same amenities plus, Arts & Crafts, Parachute Games, Story Time, Outdoor Playground, Picnics and snacks and Bye Bye Buggy Rides. The Junior Midgets Program, for 2/12 to 3 year olds feature: Large Play House Activity Center with one counselor to every 3 or 4 children, Pontoon Boat Rides, Nature Activities, Educational & Just-For-Fun Toys, Storytelling, Theme Parties, Snacks, Singing & Musical Games, Red Wagon Fleet, Lawn Games, Quiet Time & Puzzle Play, Indoor Pool Party. Breakfast, morning snack and lunch are provided in the programs. Care and activities begin at 8:30 am and run until 1:30 pm daily. The play center has cribs, high chairs, changing tables, rocking chairs for nursing mothers and dining area. Parents receive a written report of their child's activities such as naps, play and diaper changes. Photos are taken of each guest at check-in. The staff will look for parents around the property or check on activity sign up lists if they need to find you. There are other programs available for older children aged 4 years through teens. Golf: Guests of Tyler Place have privileges at three nearby golf courses.

Swimming: On the Lake you can enjoy several water sports including: sailing on 10 Sunfish; tour the lake on 2 Paddleboats; Bumper Tube Rides; Wakeboarding with Instruction; 3 Pontoon Boats; Sailing Instruction; Windsurfing & Instruction (10 Sailboards)l 17 Kayaks; Rowboats; Banana Boat Rides (2 Banana Boats); 13 Canoes & Guided Canoe Trip; Fishing: Bass, Northern Pike, Off-Dock Perch; Waterskiing; Champagne Cruises for Mom and Dad. Plus Tyler Place has a heated Indoor Pool, a heated Outdoor Pool & Jacuzzi plus heated Indoor & Outdoor Wading Pools for the little ones.

Massages, Hundreds of Books; Dozens of Games. VCR & TV, Art Lessons. Plus some special family events to include: Regattas, Ice Cream Socials, Hayrides, Puppetry, Nature Crafts and Carnival. New this year is Tylers "Family Retreats" which combine all the fun of a Tyler Place family vacation with opportunities to learn more about the environment, private lakeshore, our French speaking Quebec neighbors, farm and rural life, Vermont history, lore, and family wellness and communications. The program features morning and evening programs for kids, fine-tuned to 8 separate age groups based on abilities and interests, and through a wide range of adult and family activities.
