Resort Overview: Located in the pristine, Blue Ridge Mountains, easily accessible and less than three hours from major population centers in Virginia, North Carolina and The District of Columbia, Wintergreen Resort has received many family-related accolades, including being named "Top 10 U.S. Family Resort" by Family Circle magazine and "Favorite Family Resort in the U.S." by Better Homes and Gardens magazine.Wintergreen offers families wide range of sports and recreation for all four seasons including: golf, tennis, skiing or horseback riding. Accommodations: Wintergreen offers guests privately owned condominiums and single-family homes that are tastefully decorated and furnished. These carefully maintained accommodations range in size from studio to five-bedroom condominiums and homes from two to seven bedrooms. Comfortable living areas, fully equipped kitchens, and cozy fireplaces, found in most accommodations, are perfect for families. Wintergreen offers multi-night rates and package plans which can be a substantial savings on accommodations, recreation and meals when included.
Restaurants: The Copper Mine Restaurant and Lounge is an informal eatery that offers guests relaxed breakfasts and elegant gourmet dinners. Breakfast entree prices range from $3.50 to 10:95 including a breakfast buffet. There is also special value pricing for the kids menu. Don't forget to check out the Sunday Brunch during May through October. During Brunch, guests can enjoy a lavish display of seafood, pastries, omelets, Belgian waffles, poultry, beef and fish entrees, along with a dessert buffet. Dinners range from gourmet meals for two too hamburgers and chicken for the kids. Devils Grill Restaurant and Lounge offers patio dining at the Devils Knob Golf Course. You can enjoy a more casual atmosphere at the lounge for a hearty sandwich, burger and a cold beverage. Enjoy your favorite sporting event on one of our three televisions. Luncheon entrees range from $3.95 to $8.95. Dinner entree prices range from $13.95 to $32.00. Children's menu is also available. For a family dinner, try The Edge at Cooper's Vantage Restaurant - Wintergreen's most casual restaurant. The Edge at Cooper's Vantage serves lunch and dinner with specialties including spicy buffalo wings, Virginia barbecue, marinated flank steak and a variety of tempting pasta dishes. Entree prices range from $5.75 to $17.95 and reservations are not required. Dining hours are subject to change seasonally and live entertainment is also featured seasonally. MAP coupons accepted. For a quick bite to eat, check out: Café Verandah at Stoney Creek - In the heart of the Stoney Creek facility, Café Verandah offers a hearty lunch or quick snack, the Cafe Verandah offers a variety of fresh salads, sandwiches and burgers. During the dinner hours enjoy light fare in our lounge or full entrees in the dining room. One of our dinner specialties is our Lime Artichoke Chicken, sauteed chicken breast in a lime artichoke wine sauce, served over angel hair pasta. Prices range from $4.75 to $8.95 for lunch and $8.95 to $19.95 for dinner. Reservations required for dinner. Café Verandah is proud to offer outdoor seating for your enjoyment (weather permitting). Children's Programs: Kids will love Wintergreen's state-of-the-art Treehouse children's facility, featuring programs for all age groups and a playground. Another playground is located at Lake Monocan in the valley. During the summer months, Camp Wintergreen programming includes Kids In Action for ages 2 1/2-12, Junior Explorer for ages 9-14; Kids Night Out for children ages 6-12, the Treehouse Athletes for children ages 6-12 and QUEST Nature Camp for children ages 6-14. The Kids in Action program is also available weekends in the spring and fall.
Kids In Action
For ages 2 1/2 through 12. Kids spend their day engaged in activities such as "Kids in the Kitchen," creative crafts, storytime, group games, and making friends. Available weekends in the spring and fall, and daily during ski season and summer.
Teen Adventure Camp
For ages 13 through 17. Challenge white water in an open canoe; climb a cliff and descend on a rope; camp out under the stars in this once a year camp. Personal growth through personal challenge...Learn and test outdoor skills on our overnight camp while having the most awesome fun of the summer!
Teen Conn-X-Tion
For ages 13 through 17. Great evening and daytime programs for teens on Easter weekend, Memorial Day weekend and every weekend mid June-Labor Day. Kids Night Out-(Ages 6-12) Parents enjoy a quiet evening out while the children have fun. Children are invited to come and party every Friday and Saturday night in July and August.

Treehouse Athletes
For ages 6 through 12. During the summer, children who are participating in Kids In Action may also participate in either golf or tennis on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
QUEST Nature Camp
For ages 6 through 12. QUEST (Unique Environmental Studies Training) is our exciting new weekend nature program for children.
During ski season, a variety of child care, group lessons and all-day ski programs are available to make it fun for kids to learn to ski and meet other kids their age and ability. Baby-sitting can be arranged during all seasons. Requires 48 hours notice.
The Baby-sitting Referral Service for guests ages Newborn & up. The Activities Department will arrange for a sitter to come to your condo or home and watch your child. Rates for baby-sitting start at $8 per hour. This is a referral service, so please call at least 48 hours in advance to make arrangements.
Golf: Wintergreen offers guests two distinctly different golf experiences. You can play Devils Knob, the highest course in Virginia at almost 4,000 feet and known for cool summer temperatures and outstanding course conditions, or golf year-round in the valley on our nationally ranked Stoney Creek course. Wintergreen's Stoney Creek course now features 27 holes, all designed by world-renowned golf course architect Rees Jones.
Tennis: There are 19 manicured clays courts are available for complimentary play midweek for resort guests. Wintergreen also boasts three indoor courts which are available in the event of inclement weather. The Devils Knob Indoor Tennis Pavilion, an indoor tennis facility features three deco turf courts for four-season play. Court Rates (per hour) : Preferred*: $28 Visitor: $40 Hours of operation: November 1-April 30; Sunday -Wednesday: 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday-Saturday: 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Also available at Wintergreen is their Tennis Academy. This program has been rated one of the "Top 25" tennis camps in North America by Tennis magazine. Director of Tennis & Academy Director Thomas Johnston has developed a program designed to immediately improve your match play performance. This program promotes a solid foundation of strokes and exposes you to cutting-edge techniques and strategies that will take you to a higher level of play. Academy enrollment is limited, guaranteeing personalized attention and ensuring that all your needs and goals are met by our certified staff. Swimming: The Wintergreen Spa and Fitness Center indoor pool is open year-round. All Wintergreen outdoor pools are open weekends from Memorial Day weekend to mid-June and are open daily mid-June to Labor Day. Lake Monocan Park-A 22-acre lake and park located at Stoney Creek in the valley, staffed daily with a lifeguard, Memorial Day-Labor Day, and weekends in May, September and October, weather permitting. Snack bar, paddleboats, canoes, inner tubes, fishing equipment, standard road bike rentals, horseshoe pits, sand volleyball court, sand beach, lounge chairs, picnic area and outdoor charcoal grills are available. Some fees apply. Clubhouse available by reservation for private functions, fees apply. Other outdoor pools include: Blackrock (behind the Mountain Inn) and Stoney Creek (in the valley).
Other Activities and Amenities: During the Winter months, guests can ski, and snowboard. During the warmer months, families can go Canoeing/Boating, Guests may rent canoes and paddleboats at the Lake Monocan Park in Stoney Creek daily from Memorial Day-Labor Day and weekends in May and September. There are Kayaking Clinics taught at Lake Monocan. Rock Climbing and Rappelling instruction, Road Bike Rentals; Fishing; Plus the "Ground Zero" game room that gives your teenagers a place to play the latest video games and to hang out.
