Resort Overview: Waterville Valley is located in New Hampshire's White Mountain National Forest. Only a 2 hour drive from Boston. (130 miles). Waterville is a well renowned ski resort during the Winter months but also during the Summer, there are so many activities to choose from including: mountain biking, swimming, hiking plus their exclusive "Summer Unlimited" program which is an all-inclusive, family fun, package that inlcludes unrestriced court time at the Tennis Center, Play golf mid-week for free, 2 hours of daily mountain biking, and for a nominal fee, you can take a chair lift to the top of Snow's Mountain for a breathtaking view. Accommodations: Waterville offers families lots of lodging options. The Town Square Condominimims, located in the heart of the village, offer the convenience and comfort found in your own home. Our three bedroom, two bath units feature a fully equipped kitchen, large living / dining area, two cable TV's and a VCR. Our units accomodate up to 8 people, ideal for large families or group gathering. Economical enough for small families too. The Valley Inn is Waterville's only full service, four season hotel features elegantly appointed Master, Townhouse, and Parlor suites with sitting areas, wet bars, small refrigerators, and whirlpool baths. Enjoy year round indoor/outdoor pool, game room, sauna and jacuzzi. Serving breakfast and dinner daily, with a meal plan for dining room, tavern and room service. The Silver Fox Inn, which has been recently renovated is conveniently located to everything and offers complimentary continental breakfast, afternoon wine and cheese social, and a comfortable sitting room with stunning alpine views. All rooms have private bath and cable TV. The Black Bear Lodge is a luxurious all-suite hotel featuring one bedroom condominiums. Comfortably sleeps 4-6. Each unit features fully equipped kitchen, dining/living area, full bath, separate bedroom(s), color cable TV. The lodge also offers an indoor/outdoor pool, sauna, steamroom, and whirlpool, a children's cinema, and a gameroom. The Golden Eagle Lodge is Waterville's premier all-suite hotel is reminiscent of the grand hotels of an earlier era. One and two bedroom condominiums with full kitchen, living/dining area, full bath, separate bedroom(s), color cable TV. Sleeps 4-6 comfortably. The lodge also offers an indoor pool, gameroom, sauna, and whirlpool. Another option is the Resort Condominium Rentals, which offers families a variety of 1 to 4 bedroom units situated throughout the valley. Complete kitchens, multiple bedrooms, many with fireplace or woodstove and outdoor decks, cable TV, and some with washer & dryer. All serviced by the free Waterville Valley Shuttle. Other condominium's include: Village Condominium - They are completely equipped 1-5 bedroom units. Dishwasher, washer/dryer, private entrances, living room with fireplace, cable TV. Also features an outdoor pool, a central gameroom, and a sauna. The Windsor Hill Condominium features: 1-bedroom deluxe and 2 & 3 bedroom units. Restaurants: There are several eateries throughout the village at Waterville Valley. Chile Peppers: Hearty, fun Mexican specialties served in a comfortable informal dining area. Located in the lower level, Town Square. Diamond's Edge North: A full service restaurant specializing in American continental cuisine. Featuring a lounge and extensive children's menu. Great views of Corcoran's pond. Open June through Columbus Day. Jugtown Sandwich Shop: A wide variety of made-to-order deli sandwiches. Legends 1291 Night Club: It's the place to be into the late evening if dancing, action and a lively good time are on your agenda. Located in Town Square. Waterville Valley Coffee Emporium: A complete breakfast, and the finest gourmet coffees and teas. The Wild Coyote Grill: Located in the upper level of the White Mountain Athletic Club, serving hearty American cuisine, including pasta, seafood, chicken & steaks. The calimari is a house specialty. Waterville Valley Pizza Co. - a plethora of pies available, along with hot and cold subs, and more! Across from Legends, lower level, Town Square.
Children's Programs: Waterville's full-service child care facility, conveniently located on the bottom floor of the base lodge, is designed for children ages 6 months to 4 years. There's a self-contained area for infants, rocking chairs for nursing moms, plenty of toys, games and other activities for toddlers and older children. We maintain a maximum four to one child/staff ratio. Rates are below: Child Care Rates for ages 6 months - 4 years Hourly, $10; Half day $32, Full day $42, 2 Days $77, 3 Days $114, 4 Days $153, 5 Days $190.Half days run 8:00 am - 12:30 pm, or Noon - 4:30 pm. Full days run 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Other configurations will be charged by the hourly rate. Minimum two-hour charge. Reservations will be held until 9:30 am; cancellations or no-shows will be charged $18. Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided. Lunch may be purchased at a cost of $6, or children may bring their own. Each child must bring 6 diapers and a box of wipes. Nursing moms must check in every 90 minutes, and provide a backup bottle. Golf: Guests will enjoy the new sporty 9-hole course, which winds around the valley floor surrounded by 4,000' mountain peaks. A full Pro Shop is the headquarters for equipment and golf cart rentals, and is located in Bull Hill Cabin right across from Town Square. Lessons and clinics are available, with the kids clinics being especially popular. Nearby you'll find 18-hole championship courses at the Jack O'Lantern Golf Course and Highland Links course in Plymouth, NH, as well as the Sugar Shack driving range in Campton, NH. Guests staying in Waterville Valley on the Summer Unlimited package also enjoy special rates at the new Owl's Nest golf course in Thornton.
Tennis: Ranked as one of Tennis Magazine's Top 50 tennis resorts in the country, and one of the 5 best in the country for families, Waterville Valley's tennis center is a mountain retreat perfect for tennis aficionados. Offering court time, private lessons, clinics, tournaments, junior programs, round-robins, and social events, the Tennis Center has something for everyone. The 18 red clay courts offer a classic playing surface, and are swept and maintained meticulously. The Pro shop offers top-quality equipment for sale and demo. Expert stringing for your racquet is also available. The Director of Tennis, Tom Gross is available for private lessons and clinics. In addition, the center has a professional staff of instructors, including seasoned veterans like Steve Shannon, Virginia Petrie, and Bill Travis. Swimming: Water lovers can rejoice in Waterville Valley - everything from canoes and paddleboats to kayaks and swimming is available. Most of it is centered on Corcoran's pond. Here you can rent paddleboats, kayaks or canoes, take a swim, or just catch some rays on the sandy beach. With Town Square just next door, a cool refreshing drink or snack is only seconds away. More adventurous souls can hike or bike to the Cascades, a series of 7 waterfalls, many with great swimming holes. The White Mountain Athletic club features: Indoor and outdoor 25 meter pools with lap lane. Two huge, bubbly, jacuzzi whirlpool spas. A pool for children too. The club also features three dry, hot saunas and three tiled, fine mist steam rooms for the ultimate in body and soul relaxation.
Other Activities and Amenities: During the Winter months, guests can ski, and snowboard. During the warmer months, families can go mountain biking at Waterville Valley's Mountain Bike Park. You can take the chairlift up to the top of Snow's Mountain with your bike and head down a variety of trails for all abilities through the National Forest. Everything from meandering dirt fire-roads to gnarly single-track is available. With over 30 miles of marked, well-maintained trails, Waterville Valley is a mecca for mountain bike enthusiasts. Hiking: Watervillw has over 100 miles of well-marked, maintained trails crisscross the Valley region. With seven 4,000 foot peaks located within the Valley, hikers of all abilities can find a satisfying trek. From the 4,315 ft. summit of Mount Osceola, the views are fabulous. The three peaks of Tripyramid also offer an outstanding challenge, also with views to match. Waterville has a great program for your teen. The Seasonal Wilderness Adventure Training is an adventure program for kids ages 13-16 that offers them skill building in rock climbing, kayaking, white water rafting and mountain biking three days a week. The Waterville Valley Recreational Department also organizes weekday programs for children ages 4-6; Waterville Instruction in Nature Games and Sports ages 7-9; Summer Outdoor Adventures in Recreation and ages 10-12; Positive Environmental Adventures for Kids. Guests at the resort receive one free day at Waterville Valley Recreation Department Programs. Also, don't forget to check out the skating facility at the Waterville Valley skate park.
