Do your kids always want to color on the walls? Then take them to a place where they can do just that! It's the Binney & Smith Crayola Factory, with locations in Pennsylvania and Kansas.

This tour is geared to kids, and your children will love it. At the Pennsylvania site, you'll be able to watch crayons and markers being manufactured, labeled and packaged. The highlight of the tour, however, is definitely the molding process. Here you'll see colored melted wax being poured into a huge mold. Minutes later, thousands of crayons are pushed up and pop out of the mold. Awesome!

At the Kansas plant, you'll be able to see crayons and markers being made -- but you'll also have the added advantage of watching the company make their Liquitex paint. This paint is used in Crayola's oil paints, acrylics, tempera and finger paint products. Your kids will love watching the huge mixers churning and blending the paint.

Pennsylvania Location: Open: The factory is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. It is closed on Mondays, except for on the following school holidays when they remain open: Martin Luther King Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Columbus Day, Labor Day, and the Monday after Christmas. It is closed on New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Age Limits: None

Cost: The price is $6 for adults and children and $5.50 for seniors age 65 and older. Children under 3 are admitted free of charge. Prices include admission to the National Canal Museum as well.

Reservations: Admission is limited based on building capacity, and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Early arrival is strongly recommended. Reservations are required for groups of 10 or more.

Kansas Location: Open: Monday through Thursday 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. The factory is closed on holidays, and no tours are offered November 15-January 31.

Age Limits: Must be 7 years of age to take the tour.

Cost: Free. You'll even receive a free box of 16 crayons and a coloring book!
