What's New: Thriller aero 360 is the 90 foot tall ride is the latest version of vertical spinning action. At the end of each arrow sweep, is a car holding 24 people. Guests board seat units three abreast. With legs dangling in the air and strapped in only by a shoulder harness, they begin to swing back and forth higher and higher with each pendulum motion. As momentum builds, the ride culminates by flinging riders the full 360 degrees over the top and upside down to experience lots of zero gravity (also known as air time)! Adding to the experience is the unique seat design. Riders sitting in one row are face to face with riders in the opposite row, producing quite a visual experience!
Kennywood has one of the Top Ten Coasters in the U.S., according to the authoritative amusement park periodical Inside Track. The Steel Phantom offers one of the "longest drops" of any coaster on its 225-foot main hill. You'll run down that hill at speeds of 80 mph through four inversions and a great vertical loop. How's that for thrills? If it's not enough, check out the park's many other coaster rides including the Thunderbolt, the Laser Loop, and the double-dipping Jack Rabbit.
Rates: Admission prices are Adult: $22.95 Saturday and Sunday and $18.95 Monday through Friday. General Admission is $7.50. Those paying General Admission have the option of purchasing individual ride tickets at $0.25 each. Books of 20 tickets are available for $5.00 each. Most adult rides require three to six tickets each. Kiddeland requires one to two tickets per ride. *General Admission tickets may be purchased only by guests over 21 or who are subject to Kennywood's ride limitations due to height or physical restrictions. Children 3 and under must pay for rides, but enter park at no charge.
Park Hours: The park is opened April 22nd through September 4th. They open at 11am daily and close at 10pm.
