If your little ones are fascinated with Sesame Street, or you just want them to enjoy a great day at the park, take them to Sesame Place located about 20 miles from Philadelphia, PA. They'll see Big Bird, Ernie, Bert, Elmo and Oscar, and feel right at home in the play areas they've seen on TV. Although there are no real "rides" in the usual sense of the word, there are lots of action activities, water play areas (bring your suits!), and bright colors to view. The park features live stage shows and parades, 15 exhilarating water adventures such as family favorite Slimey's Chutes and the ever-popular Sky Splash, and 50 kid-powered outdoor activities such as Nets 'n' Climbs, a three-story-high challenge of crawling and climbing. The kids will love the shows, which tend to stress lots of audience participation. In contrast to many amusement parks I've seen, Sesame Place strives to serve food that's truly good for you. You can even watch through glassed-in areas as the food is being prepared!

What's New: Sesame Place Celebrates its 20th Anniversary in 2000! July is designated as the 20th Anniversary celebration. The Beatles "You Say It's Your Birthday" has been added to allow guests the opportunity to sing, dance and offer birthday wishes along with the characters.
