New this Year: Men in Black -Alien's Attack is Universal's ride based on the movie. Riders go through the streets of New York armed with laser "zappers" hunting for aliens. This four minute ride is described as a ride-through video game with several different ending possibilities based upon the performance of the riders in each car.
Islands of Adventure is adding two new kid's rides this summer. The Flying Unicorn is a smaller roller coaster that will take riders through a forest like setting on the back of the mythical creature. Storm Force is on Marvel Super Hero Island. It is an indoor spinning attraction that has a thunderstorm with swirling sound and special effects.
At Universal Studios, get close to a real tornado that performs on cue every 20 minutes. You will walk into a reconstructed set of the movie Twister's drive-in theater scene, a slight breeze will ruffle your hair, a gentle drizzle will begin to fall, and moments after a bolt of lightning splits a tree in tow, a 50 ft. tornado will rip through the movie screen and vacuum up the set (complete with flying cow!), and only dying after the cyclone inhales and fireball ignited by two exploding gas pumps. Caution: This will scare the pants of children younger that 6-7! In addition visitors can enjoy Back to the Future ... the Ride, Earthquake - The Big One, and Kongfrontation. You can take the Nickelodeon Tour, as well as visit the other numerous shows, attractions and restaurants to make your day complete.
