HURRICANE FALLS, a 72-foot tall super slide creates a splash at Oceans of Fun in 1999. Six-person circular rafts speed down a 14-foot-wide flume shooting up the steep sides cresting close to a 90-degree angle. Hurricane Falls, "the roller coaster of the waterpark," carries up to six sliders in a circular raft down a fast moving flume creating the excitement of a whitewater rafting adventure. Rafters twist and turn down the 14-foot wide flume while shooting up the sides cresting close to a 90-degree angle. Hurricane Falls travels down 680 feet of raging waters. It's the water slide the entire family can ride! Hurricane Falls marks the first expansion to Oceans of Fun since 1992.
The Mamba roller coaster relies on the old fashioned way to make your head spin and your stomach flip, pure height!. The first hill, 205 feet, drops you almost straight down and reaches a top speed of 75 mph! This ride will give you a great view, if you can open your eyes, as you go from one side of the park to the other in a series of stomach-in-the-throat bumps and thrills.
For quieter adventure you can play with Mama, Papa, Sister, and Brother Bear in Berenstein Bear Country, a 1 acre village with a variety of play areas or see the nightly Summer Spectacular laser show featuring music for all tastes, lasers, and pyrotechnics.
