Mountain Sky is a 4-Diamond, AAA-rated resort, nestled high in the Rocky Mountains and only 30 miles from the north entrance of Yellowstone Park.
You can fish, hike, ride, play tennis, enjoy the pool, or just sit back and enjoy the spectacular scenery.
Food is fantastic here, and you'll end up stuffing yourself on buffets in the dining room, or on the trail at cookouts and barbecues.
An extensive children's program is offered during the summer months with full-time counselors for daytime and evening events. The morning and afternoon sessions are filled with activities that "kids like most" - crafts, nature walks, swimming, games and the fun of fishing in their private trout pond. Younger children may be led on horseback by one of the counselors or a children's wrangler will be eager to give your child guidance and instructions on riding technique.
Children have the option of dining early at a special kids dinner which includes their favorite foods, after which activities such as a hayride, Indian pow wow, or softball take place. This allows the adults to enjoy a gourmet meal while knowing their children are delighting in their own activities. For the older children we even have a game room with table tennis, a juke box and a pool table. The Children's Program, like many other activities at the ranch, is optional.
Accomodations at the ranch include 27 cabins that can sleep 40 individual guests and groups up to 70. Their refurbished rustic bedroom cabins date back to the 30's when the ranch opened its doors to its first customers. Their modern one and two room cabins have sitting rooms and large picture windows so you can enjoy the breathtaking mountain views. All cabins have a coffee pot, small refrigerator and fresh fruit delivered daily. The rates include lodging, meals, a horse for each guest and all ranch facilities and activities. Their weekly rates are: Adults $2,380 - $2,800 per person; Child 7-12 years $2,030 - $2,450 per person; Child 6 and under $1,575 - $1,820 per person. (rates do include gratuities).
Mountain Sky is open from late May through early October.
