This 31,000 acre spread, located approximately 120 miles northeast of Los Angeles, features excellent trails, great mounts, trout fishing, hayrides, swimming, and great food. This ranch really caters to families, and we've heard plenty of rave reviews.
Supervised activities are offered for children 4-11, including swimming, arts and crafts, games, and of course, riding. Children must be at least 6 years old to ride at this ranch.
Older children may join in the fun if they wish. There are arts and crafts; nature hikes; scavenger hunts; treasure hunts; swim meets; talent shows; and much, much more. Children love building creative toy boats to be raced at the creek. All ages enjoy "Sarah's Farm". Children love to help bottle feed the baby calves, and see the chickens. Amanda Rankin usually has a 4H lamb or steer. When she is available, Amanda is happy to explain how she cares for her animals and prepares them to be shown at the county fair. Other activities include: square dancing, western line dancing, bingo, fooseball tournaments, talent shows, and indoor "horse races".
Accomodations include: seven spacious mountain cabins that sleep 30 to 45 people. These duplex cabins can be taken as a single room, or the two connecting rooms for larger families or parties. You'll enjoy daily maid service in your clean, air conditioned cabin which is wood paneled and carpeted. Each room has large picture windows and all rooms have private entrances and baths, and will accommodate up to five people. They have a queen bed, twin bed, and a day bed in each room. The new deluxe cabin, "Chimo" is a duplex cabin also, with two connecting rooms, each with private bath. It is larger and can accommodate a family of eight. Each "Chimo" room has two queen beds and two queen sofa sleepers; larger bathrooms each with separate shower and tub.
Rates include all meals and activities at the ranch. In season rates start at: $160/night double occupancy, per person. Two or more children under 12, in room separate from parents, each $135.00; Children 6-11, in room w/parents, each $100.00; Children 4 and 5, in room w/adult, each $75.00; Child, single occupancy $170.00; Children under 4 in room w/adult, each per day (Reg. & Off-season) $40.00; Children under 24 months FREE.
Months of operation are from April through October.
