PETRIFIED FOREST NATIONAL PARK
6618 Petrified Forest Road
Holbrook, AZ 84028
(520) 524-6822

This is the site of a huge ancient log jam along a prehistoric river which once existed in the area of this national park. Here, you'll find huge petrified logs littered about the landscape, as well as a visitor's center with some super exhibits of skeletons of early dinosaurs. The fossil exhibits here are outstanding.

Kids can also take part in the Junior Ranger certification program. Call for more details. There is a small fee for admission to the park.
