This is one of the great mother lodes of fossils, with many dinosaur exhibits. The "Prehistoric Journey" display is especially outstanding. At this museum, you'll find some excellent dinosaur skeletons, including Diplodocus, Stegosaurus, Coelophysis, Lambeosaurus, and Tyrannosaurus rex. You'll also find a fossil preparation laboratory, displays of ancient mammals, and dinosaur models displayed in lifelike dioramas.
If you're going to be in the Denver area, don't miss this site. A low admissions fee is charged, and a restaurant and gift shop are available.
