This is a cooperative education and tourism effort between Dinomation (a company which creates lifelike, animated dinosaur models) and the city of Fruita, Colorado. Here you'll find robotic dinosaurs including Stegosaurus, Dilophosaurus (a more realistic example than the one featured in Jurassic Park), Apatosaurus and Utahraptor, plus additional exhibits on glaciers, earthquakes, volcanoes, Ice Age mammals, and prehistoric sea creatures. A working fossil laboratory is also housed on the premises. An admissions fee is charged to view these exhibits.
Parents and children who want to get more involved with dinosaurs can join the Dinomation International Society. For a yearly membership fee, society members will receive special premiums such as society membership pins, posters, and bumper stickers, as well as discounts on merchandise.
