Resort Overview: This family-oriented resort is less crowded than many of its Pennsylvania neighbors. The Mountain Kids Ski Center features a one-stop ski center including programs for all kids, skiing and non-skiing. Mountain Care is a babysitting and childcare service for kids 18 months to 8 years. Mountain Munchkins offers skiing programs and organized play activities for 3-5 year olds, and ski programs are offered on weekends for 6-12 year olds. The resort offers some excellent packages, and kids 13 and under can stay with their parents at no additional charge (lodging only). The Hidden Valley Ski School is well-known for its quality with more than 130 instructors. Children have as much fun as adults at Hidden Valley with the Kinder Inn Child Care Program, Junior Ski Programs, Ski Camp and Youth Racing Program. What's New This Year: Hidden Valley has spent millions of dollars on upgrading the lifts, snowmaking, grooming, and lights for night skiing and snowboarding to provide you with a great winter experience. In addition, Hidden Valley has added plenty of new snowboards to its rental fleet. Snowboard rentals include top quality boards and boots. Day Care: Hidden Valley's professional recreation staff creates programs to provide fun and excitement for all ages. Regularly scheduled programs are held year-round and include arts and crafts, instructional clinics, and camps. Kid's Kamps at Hidden Valley open a whole new world to children. They will be thrilled with the wonders of nature in the Great Outdoor Camp and Adventure Camp. They will enjoy an incredible variety of games and activities in the All Sports Camp. And, of course, Super Saturdays make sure the fun at Hidden Valley continues through the weekends. Children's Lessons: Hidden Valley's Ski School is well-known for its quality instruction. 130 instructors, all members of the Professional Ski Instructors of America, offer private and class lessons for all levels of skiiers. Family Recreational Activities: The Winter Fun Center at Hidden Valley will celebrate its fourth year of operation this season. Located at the Hidden Valley Golf Club,the Center offers a unique dimension to winter activities, the highlight of which is the Hidden Valley Turbo Snow Tubing Runs. Hidden Valley's fleet of specially designed inner tubes whisk guests down a series of carved channels in the snow. Snowtubers are brought back to the top of the nine-story hill by a high-tech surface lift. Hidden Valley has installed snowmaking at the tubing runs and lighting for night runs. In addition to snowtubing, the Winter Fun Center also offers snowshoeing, horse drawn sleigh rides, and food and beverage service at Mulligan's, a snack bar and grill with a rustic atmosphere and fireplace. All rides operate weather conditions permitting. The Hidden Valley Tubing Runs may be rented any weekday for private and group functions. Group rates are available. Snow tubing is open to all ages. Amenities: The Clock Tower Restaurant - casual dining with panoramic views of the surrounding slopes - open during the ski season for lunch and dinner and available for groups, banquets and weddings the rest of the year. The Hearthside Restaurant - cozy, casual dining with special weekend and holiday buffets - open year-round for breakfast, lunch and dinner, or enjoy lunch on the Deck Cafe next to the Hearthside Restaurant. Grab a bite at Mulligan's Grill at the Golf Club and enjoy the mountaintop view from the patio by the Driving Range and Putting Green. Or pack up a lunch from The Mountain Deli.
